I wanted to write another guide for some reason, so I threw this together.
You, of course, will need the largely popular Firefox web browser.

After installing and setting up Firefox as you see fit, you may decide you're tired of advertisements online.
Well, Adblock Plus is the answer! Normally you'd have to adblock each image you find, but this will be a guide on setting up subscriptions.
Once Firefox is finished, go to this official page and install Adblock Plus.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
Restart Firefox to continue.
I don't remember what windows pop up from here after Adblock Plus installation, but I generally closed any of them. Once you're ready to continue, go to this website for the subscriptions:
http://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions
I have found that under the second row, the "EasyElement+EasyList" is the best ad filter subscription available. Of course, you click this link and now browse the internet largely free of advertisements!
Additionally, you may wish to install this additional Firefox extension which will download a filterset that will block many unknown advertisements.
Adblock aFilterset.g Updater:

However, you may wish to refer to this portion of the Adblock Plus site for additional information:

DO IT!
