Poet of the Week
-Round 2-

General Information:

The Poet of the Week competition is a weekly contest. Authors are given a prompt, theme, or restriction and must write a poem incorporating it. Poems are judged on rhythm, flow, originality, and general quality. The winner joins the Writer's Usergroup and receives a place in the Hall of Fame (and a rep boost from a mod).

Rules:

1. No plagiarism whatsoever.
2. Respect your fellow authors.
3. Don't be a sore loser or an arrogant winner.
4. Please only post entries in the Poet of the Week topic.
5. One entry per person.

This Week's Prompt:

Write a present-tense poem that questions a societal norm, reflects on it, and then takes a stance. Bonus points for good use of figurative devices.
