Others have gone over you're requirements and guides etc. in detail so I think they've summed that up well and I trust in their opinions.
After reading everyone's posts in this thread, it seems the most visible issue is a personality factor (at least this is what I've drawn from them. if I'm wrong someone correct me). I tend to agree on that- but maybe I can explain it as I see it and hopefully it might help.
In my opinion it's not "omg! You need a personality re-arrangement! D:" like it could be interpreted as, if one just says "your personality."
For me, it comes down to presence. InSane talked a bit about quality posting over quantity. I think you just have to work on your personal presence on the forum. The people I know in VIP have personalities that can be described as strong or unique. They have perhaps created an individuality from the masses on GG. This may have been created out of how they speak, what they do/have done, what they know and how they present it on the forum. It can range from coming across as highly intelligent, witty, clever, industrious- setting them apart and rendering them a little more beneficially notorious. Their posts/deeds/actions/efforts become memorable to a lot of people (these things being memorable in a good way rather than the actions of an infamous spamming parasite like some of the recent noobs I've seen lol).
So I can't tell you you need "X" amount more posts. Some people can establish a presence in 80 really solid posts (quality can be anything from an intelligent observation to a cleverly, funny flame), or for others it may take more.
None of the above was meant as anything but an objective critique. I hope it helps, and hopefully it explains at least partially what some people may mean when they flatly say "personality". (again, I can't read minds today, so a lot of this is my own thoughts on it and if anyone meant something drastically different, feel free to post your perspective).
