And who wants to be bound to the one person for the rest of their lives, by literally, one piece of paper. It just makes no sense to me

I don't entirely disagree with you, but there are a couple of points I feel are a little lob-sided. The spread of aids cannot solely be accredited to the gay population. The amount of men and women with aids gained through vaginal sex is about equal to that of gay men. Aids can be spread via a cut, or even sharing a drink bottle with one person. I personally see that view as being slightly out dated.

And how on earth would more gays be created out of gay marriage? Its not like its a genetic birth defect or something. People are either just born to be that way inclined, or they choose that path because of a bad experience, or even just preference. So I see no grounds for that point to stand on to be honest.

As for gays looking sick, and not seeing cute gay couples, thats up to both personal experience, and personal opinion. I've been best friends with some gay guys and they haven't looked sick in the slightest, as a matter of fact most of the gay men I've known have had more self hygiene and pride in their appearance than most of the straight guys I know xD. And I've seen some pretty cute gay couples, women in particular can look quite cute together. I don't mind seeing gay couples walking through the park holding hands, I just don't like seeing them kiss, but then I don't like seeing straight people kiss in public either so thats neither here nor there. Well. A peck is perfectly fine, but making out is just...yeah...not something I like to watch.

But as I said in the first place, I don't see the point in marriage at all, its all so superficial these days, there's no real meaning behind it, and it tends to cause more problems in a relationship than it solves. Ie. You spend about 10k on your average mid sized wedding, because everything is so damned expensive these days, now thats enough money for a deposit on a small house, or even a car. You spend the next 5 years paying back the loan you probably took out for the wedding, on top of the mortgage for the family home you just bought so you can start your happy family, and the van you just bought to pile all your kids in to take them off to soccer. Then you've got the cost of raising kids, keeping your car on the road, and keeping your house in pristine condition. That extra 10k you took out to pay for that wedding is 10k that could've been spent on any of these things and lessened the financial pressure, therefore lessening the pressure on the relationship, because we all know that a massive percentage of divorces are caused from financial pressure.

And thats the end of my rany xD.
I suppose you are correct about the issue regarding AIDs. However, I did not lay the blame to that particular STD solely on the gay/homosexual population. However, you can not discredit the fact that AIDs is more rampant in the gay population than any other form of sexual orientation.

I do realize that gays can not produce any sort of offsprings, due to the incompatibility of their genders. However, one can not rule out the possibility of influence that a gay couple may have on an adopted child. Remember the saying, like father, like son. Children learn from their environment. I would feel bad at how warped that child's mind would be.

And, yes....my personal preference did lead me to dislike seeing gay couples. They look sick to me...and I have noted that it was my personal opinion...

Yeah, marriages nowadays are too expensive. Plus, there's really no need to get married..considering that if you two live together, you would be considered partners, and are still under California marriage laws. Bleh...I guess it doesn't really matter if gays married or not. It's their choice that they would rather suffer the burdens of marriage. Thus, it can be seen that gay marriages is not something that should be opposed, but rather gay orientation.
