The Haven Award
The Haven Award is the highest level of recognition available for writers on Gaming Gutter, and one of the few ways to earn money on GG through your writing. It is awarded to those members on a monthly basis via nominations and then voting and judging. Haven Award winners are nominated for outstanding contributions through above average writing. Members who have won this award show that they have a significant mastery of the written arts. To be eligible, you must first be nominated by two different members. Then, you must accept the nomination by posting a long piece of your best writing for judging. This means a complete story (no small chapters in a larger work) of substantial length or several poems. You will be judged on your submission, but also on past writing that you have posted.
The prize that goes along with the Haven Award is pretty hefty for a GG contest. I've talked to nom a few times about a cash prize, and that's up in the air, but a possibility. You also will be awarded a Haven Award userbar under your name.
This thread exists to nominate people for the award and second nominations.

If you are nominated and wish to be considered, you must submit either a lengthy piece of prose writing (5 pages bare minimum, more preferred) or no fewer than five poems. You will be judged based on activity in the Haven, quality of writing (to the very highest standards), and contributions to GG as a whole.
