Oh, and those unspoken rules like gravedigging and such? Yeah, stick those in there. Make nothing unspoken. Leniency is one thing, claiming ignorance is another. If they make a post in an active forum in a thread that has been inactive for weeks saying something like "ya thats kewl" it just enraaaages me!

GPoints: 21 Rep Power: 5 | I think you guys should clarify in the grave digging part of the rules that posting in a sticky that hasn't be posted in for a long time is considered grave digging too. I wasn't aware of that since I didn't think I was digging it up since it was already always on top of everything else. Found that one out the hard way. ///_o

I think you should be allowed to do it for the Fun and Games section.
Only because there aren't many pages of threads in there, plus making a thread for a game thats already been made once before. I'd druther continue a dead game, than make the same one and it die a few days later only for someone to remake that game.... and the process repeats. I made a mistake once by posting in a thread on the second page. About that.... The thread had been dead for a month or two. I didn't realize that until aaaaafter I got a warning.

Do you want to know why people spam and start gravedigging? To up their post count and get into the UG faster.
Cause and effect: You increase the UG post count requirement, you increase the spam and grave digging.
Post count should have absolutely no bearing on Underground status. Underground status should be based on rep alone.
To receive reputation is to be acknowledged as a valuable member of the community. People wanting to be in the Underground will have no choice but to work to give some value to the community in the form of helpful posts, guides, or entertainment BEFORE getting something back in the form of UG hacks and programs.
To prevent abuse, Gaming Gutter would have to modify registration so that only one person per IP can sign up. Otherwise, people would register 30 accounts and have all of them boost the rep of a single account.
A system like this would guarantee that only quality members make it to the Underground, and aren't those the only members you want in the Underground anyway?

GPoints: 26 Rep Power: 9 | Well, sucks for them then. The idea of having a post requirement in the first place is to discourage leeching and encourage the users to speak, and doing so lets us get a feel for them. Now, given that they are forced to make 100 posts, they just have to contribute to a conversation or two. I mean, I made over 100 posts today, it wasn't hard. If not for requiring hundreds of posts when I applied for the underground, I probably would've come and left.

I'm voting for raising UG post requirement too. Also perhpas bring applications back, that way it would frown upon people who intentionally gravedig/spam and encourage people to make quality posts, because you'd be getting reveiwed and nothing like automatic access at a certain post req.
The quality of the members in the UG is becoming very poor. D=
