GPoints: 28 Rep Power: 0 | I have questions :) I just popped in because they kill'd the site I usually use.
But I'm curious about a few things. Does this site promote cookie grabbers/fake logins/etc as much as it seems to? Would it be safe to download the programs that are up, or would I have to worry about those sorts of things being in them? Granted, my account isn't exactly legit, but I'd still hate to lose all that work.
Also, what are the chances of being frozen if one uses an AB'er just to get the chocolate avatar? I've heard chances are high but I'm wondering, since I've been reaidng and a lot of people seem to be getting away with ABing 'round here.
Sorry for the newbie questions. if I missed the answer somewhere feel free to yell and link. Edit/ Okay I'm silly. Just read the sticky in the programs forum :3 Ignore that question about download safety.

2. We don't really "promote" things one way or the other. People have them up for sharing/sale/whatever.
3. Any program that's on here is checked by our programmers - if a program has been approved and is available to download from the "Attached File" thing at the bottom of a post, that means it is totally safe to use. If someone has put up a fileshare link like rapidshare or whatever while the file is pending approval by the mods, then use your judgment before downloading it.
4. The chances of being frozen by using an autobuyer will depend on a few things: what autobuyer you use, what your settings are, and if you use the autobuyer responsibly (i.e. not for hours on end).
I think that answers everything Good luck!
Edit: I just saw your edit. Oh well XD

GPoints: 127 Rep Power: 4 | it does seem like cookie grabbers are tolerated here, which i find somewhat unfortunate. i don't mind if people use programs or hack neopets or whatever to get np (obviously since i'm on this site) but i don't really support people who steal other people information and work for their benefit. as for the programs as cookie said the freeze rate will most likely depend on the setting and how careful you are while using it.

GPoints: 14,029 Rep Power: 10 | I don't mind off-site cookie-grabbers. My reasoning? People shouldn't be going to neopet-related sites they don't know.
Most of these cookie grabber sites are really obvious scams, and people who fall for them don't use their best judgment. It's usually things like, "click here to get NPs from a sponsor!!" or "super secret scratchcard" or "free krawk"...stuff like that. It lures people in who are either greedy or uninformed, and it's their own fault if they go there.
If people cared about avoiding cookie-grabbers, they would. Don't go to off-Neo sites that aren't highly populer and vouched for. Places like JellyNeo, for example, is a trusted site. Some random neopethelp.freeweb.com isn't.
I do sympathize with them if they lose everything, but they should be more careful with their account and the sites they visit.

GPoints: 28 Rep Power: 0 | Thanks for the welcome and question answering goodness >3 These places are always so much nicer than anywhere else. Funny how that works.
I half agree; if it's an obvious scam then it's kinda their own fault. I generally only go around sites I know well but once in a while I'll look for something new. Then I clear my cookies, change my pw and twitch a little in a corner. Sometimes though its just kids looking for good ways to earn NP and they don't know any better. Then it's sad 'cause pixels mean so much to them. But they do learn a valuable life lesson from it.
Anyone wanna link guides/good AB'ers for my lazy self?

GPoints: 14,029 Rep Power: 10 | If you're about to venture into a new site, clear your cookies and stuff beforehand. That should help out some, and having a good anti-virus for..I dunno..potential trojans? I don't really know of many search things that would lead me to any place other than a Neopets petpage, or Jellyneo. For me, the only things that have brought me outside those two sources, were searching for cheats.
As for ABers and AB lists, maybe you should stick around: we have some good info and lists in the Hacks section, a free ABer there, and an ABer you can purchase in the Trades section

| You'd think I'd remember to. I usually clue in after I click the random link ^-^ Yes I'm a very silly *cough*stupid*cough* person. One day I'll figure it out.
As for sticking around I plan to do that. This place seems nice and friendly and gives me something to do when I slack off in class.

GPoints: 14,029 Rep Power: 10 | It's not my ABer, but if there are any updates, I do believe they are free. Better ask one of the creators for specific info. There are 2 different FF ABers.
