Ok I Am Computer Stupid Can You Tell Me What A Proxy Is?

Ok I have Sids Name adopter and I have used it 4 or 5 times without getting frozen but I have heard some people talking about using Proxies so they cant get frozen and it has a little button that says use proxie and I never pressed it. I was wondering what a proxie is and how to use it?

Auto-adopters have the same format for proxies as score-senders.

Thanks for that info.
So yeah, just input the proxy into the auto adopter in the format I've stated in the previous post. Make sure to check if the proxy is working though, or it will have an error.
