ok ive had the question : If i get a new laptop with wireless internet is it the same IP as the computer im on now??
some people are saying yes, some are saying no please help =/

A new computer won't change your IP, only a new internet provider would. | |

GPoints: 1,638 Rep Power: 7 | It depends on what I.P. you're talking about, because a person has 2 i.p.'s technically, the one that they use for the internet, which is assigned by your ISP or the one that is assigned for each "device" on your home network, for example, say my I.P. is 215.43.54.8 for my ISP my computer's I.P. could be 192.167.2.19 for the home network, to see you're I.P. on for you're ISP go to a site like My IP is 67.201.14.125 - Quick and Easy way to SEE my IP address - CmyIP.com, for your home network i.p. you'd need to go into cmd, and type "ipconfig all" minus the quotes.
