So as we all know, the 2008 Olympics are being held in Beijing, China. Which is highly controversial because of China's standard of living, politics, and blah blah blah.
So Im asking 2 things: Do you think that the choice to hold the 08 Olympics in China was a good decision?
and
Which team do you think, will get the most medals.
Discuss.

For the past 2 weeks I've been in a house with no cable or anything of the sort.
And I don't go to like news sites, etc.
So I know fuck all, other than some team was wearing gas masks?
And I've only watched one sport and that was today.

Politics are messed.
Air is highly polluted... having polluted air is unfair because it could prevent althelets from performing top notch.
And because of the whole "zomg we need more space" situation, countless people have been displaced in order to make room for the buildings | |

GPoints: 635 Rep Power: 12 | Snake this has been happening for FOUR YEARS NOW the ermmm someone give me the word for people after this posts since the details are fuzzy since the last time I read on anything concerning the olympics was in '07 have been holding riots and protests against chinese oppression ever since the olympics put the spotlight on China. If you want more information you'll have to go elsewhere because my concern with foreign affairs is the rest of the world can burn for what I care, much like how I think the U.S. should just ignore Russia's invasion of Georgia.

Other than that....Yeah...Being oblivious to the words issues is bliss.
