No. You can't go and make a generalization like "all". What's considered 'major' to you? Only the top 3? (Christianity/Judaism/Islam)

Major religions include Hinduism, which includes many deities, not a single 'god'; various neo-pagan religions worship multiple deities that relate to nature, but all a single god; Shinto had the myriad gods, specifically Izanagi and Izanami, which kick started everything... I could go on.

no because I believe once you start to actually read the bible or at least some of it or goto church you would actually start to understand the religious pov more and possibly even start to believe in/worship god.

I have read the bible, two different versions. And I have gone to church. It never changed my mind, and truly, reading the bible only made me more firm in my own lack of belief.

Because I couldn't help but compare it to every other fairy tale I've read in my childhood. Seriously, some of those stories I'm only hoping were changed in translation. Talking plants? People walking on water (without aid)? Zombies? I was always told as a child that once you're dead, you're dead. Why should Jesus be any different? So I thought of it as either humanity (the religious parts) is a bunch of hypocrites, or someone screwed up somewhere.

I like to look at the Bible specifically as almost one of those books that a mother would put together to scare her children into behaving. Look at Pinocchio, the boy who cried wolf, both stories meant to keep kids in line.

But why am I supposed to believe that? Why is anyone? We don't know if the stories really came from the imaginations of Italian men in the 1600s or random men in the first century AD, or whether the men were schizophrenics and believed they were hearing a voice (as many schizophrenics do) so they wrote what the voice said.

There really is no way prove the bible is true..
It was written on the basis of belief and to spread the christian religion.

If you don't believe in th e bible and think that it was made by a scitzo or just a random person trying to have fun thats fine..
im not going to push my religion on you

oh and btw dead sea scroll were made around 66AD
