Do you consider grammar and education when looking for a mate?

Do you take how they spell and their education into mind?

I'm sorry but that's sort of high on my list. I cant be a hypocrite because I know I make grammatical and spelling errors. But the thing that bugs me is how people type like this:

"gosh i jus cant beleave this happened 2day! dis iz the wurst day of mi lyfe"

And really is it that hard to get through high school? Minus logical reasons for dropping out of high school, I know its a sucky time but its not that hard to finish it and get your diploma.

What are your opinions on this? Do you take grammar and education into mind when looking for that special someone?

I really do take grammar and such into consideration. Not to be... I don't know, arrogant, about it, but I'm considered very smart, and I truly can't handle someone who is genuinely stupid, or willfully ignorant. My last boyfriend had a genuine reason for his English deficiencies, but it still drove me up the wall when he would type/write like that. With Nolan (current BF) I know he's intelligent- it means intellectual conversations, real thought, and to me, a better connection.

I guess it's just because I'm one of those smarter girls, so I look for a smarter guy. o.o

I do to an extent. If the person is a native English speaker, than yes, there is no reason to have terrible grammar. Some mistakes are fine, but an overabundance is rediculous. Nowadays, it isn't that important to me. But that's simply because most of the guys I meet do not speak English as their first language and their English education has something left to be desired. However, anyone i date has to at least have a high school education, VERY preferably college, but I wouldn't turn someone down just for that.
