I myself think it's assinine, why whoever thought of this did so is beyond me! If anything can happen with video games it's lack of self-control which makes you a loser with no friends, not a person suffering from a disease that prevents them from not playing video games.
What's your opinion people of Gaming Gutter?

I mean, if you are severely addicted to them, and I mean play them for 10+hours everyday, that would deffinetly be considered a disease.
It's not like when you get a new videogame, and you try and beat it the first day by playing it 15+hours straight, because that wouldn't have much of an affect on your body.
But when you constantly play day after day, hours without stop, you could get long term affects such as hearing loss, poor eyesight, and coordination and balance loss.

... I do that though, the only other thing I do besides this and reading plus I get like 6 hours of sleep a night and it is by far no disease.

Meaning you want more and more of what your doing going online or playing for several hours ( like 10 hours or so? lets say? xD ) could affect how you sleep and eat and your brain and your eyes none the less because your thinking of how to beat that last level or something and when your bored you still play? neh?
It's Crack for the future with out the lighter.

But I think it's worse with MMOs; there is a much higher chance to get addicted and lose your life to. The interaction between "people" on the MMOs make them feel like they are socializing, even though we all know obviously they aren't.
Also, that can be said for any addiction. Alcohol, sex, drugs, videogames. It's all unhealthy if you do it in mass quantities. (granted, I hate to admit that with alcohol and sex...)
