Population Control

As most of you know, human life on the planet is increasing at a rapid rate. Soon we will wear out all of our natural resources. The idea of natural selection is being presented to people everywhere to debate on whether or not it can be an option. Laws are being discussed about whether or not certain people should be allowed to reproduce.

Which means if a child were to be produced from parents who were prohibited from having children, then that child would be an abomination to the law.

Think about how far this could be taken in the future. One day, a law might be passed so that people might be naturally selected for termination. Your very life could be on the line.

Are you for or against natural selection?

I'm for it.
I'd rather have a race that could be helpful, and not wasteful.
And its not like its murder or anything, just pills, or whatever else stops them from reproducing.

Sterilizing people i wouldn't be against however if you meant forcing people to have abortions when and if they have a kid that they were not allowed to have, I'd be against it fully.

I would hardly say the world is over populating... Running dry of resources yes... because everyone lives in a material world, and they want things.. those things gotta from from somewhere....... I say we kick the blacks outta africa and start there... fresh... or just head to a new planet... like... mars? and plant some trees... and we are off...

This reminds me of a short story we read recently in English.
This village had a lottery every year, and everyone drew one slip of paper from a box, and didn't unfold it until everyone has drawn from the black box.
Once everyone has drawn, whoever had the black dot on their slip of paper was the winner. The prize was that everyone in that village would stone that person to death, then resume their daily work duties. If it was a child, it still had to be done. In the story, it was a mother who drew the black dot, and her 4 year old child was stoning her also, not knowing what was going on. Then her friend got a rock that she had to lift with 2 hands.

It was a pretty good story. Very interesting.

If I remember correctly, and I highly doubt I do, Darwin stated that random reproduction must occur for evolution to process successfully, blah, blah, blah. Basically telling which people can reproduce and which can't, is not natural selection, natural selection falls into the categories of survival of the fittest, mutation, etc.

Granted at this given time in earth's history, there are more people alive today then all accumulated dead humans since the beginning of man.

Furthermore, population caps are of greater concern to the east; Asia, India are fine examples of countries doing nothing but reproducing and throwing themselves into poverty. I believe if at all any population caps should come into play, those two locations should be hit first.
