Pregnant adolescents in school

i was listening on to the radio the other day and there were some women who called in complaining because they were kicked out of junior high/high school when they started "showing" i think it's totally fair, i don't want to see some pregnant girl beside me in AP biology. but that's just me...

do you think that pregnant teens should be forced to leave school when they begin to show?

Absolutely not, that's ludicrous.

That's ALMOST a violation of the 1st amendment. Just because someone chose to have sex, doesn't mean they're wrong, and they certainly shouldn't be kicked out of anything except maybe abstinence club (lolcornyhumor).

I personally don't have a problem with underage sex. Now, if you do it like a whore, with every guy you meet, then maybe, but if you really care for someone, or maybe if you just need a good banging, sex is the way to go.

Just because they're pregnant, doesn't mean they shouldn't be given an equal opportunity in school. They require peer support through this and expelling them will only make things worse. Without acceptance from their friends or even teachers, they will be more confused and afraid.

thats ridiculous. just because someone decides [accident, or purposefully] to have a child in high school doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to get an education. I would protest.

Is this maybe another sad way in which schools try to prevent underage/pre-marital sex?

At my school there is at least 2 people pregnant at one time. They aren't kicked out, cause there is no other school to go to. Tis the lowest it goes for around 10 miles.

Too bad the world doesn't revolve around things we don't want to see.
I think it is totally unfair. How will they ever get back to their education after their pregnancy if they miss so much High schooling? How will they be able to provide for their child? It sickens me. Pregnant teenage girls are treated as second class citizens, equal to that of prostitutes.

Well i wouldn't want to sit next to one, but they have rights, too. They have the right to their education.
