This is just a question, of what do you think of religion. What's your opinion on an organized religion. Say Catholicism.
Personally, I don't care much for religion. For starters, in the ten commandments in the Catholic Bible, doesn't it say "Thou shalt not have false idols before me" Meaning, don't worship anyone but God.
Uhhh..... last I checked. Jesus Ain't god. And people worship him more than they worship the actual God.

But it was completely unessecary he had to supposedly die for our sins. If you're God, you're God. You can clap it off like that, but to throw in symbolism like that is pointless and absurd. Rather than just say "Embrace God" it has this whole subplot and human drama thing which turns me off.
But that's just Christianity. I don't like religion in general, not because a belief is a bad thing, but a belief is something on an individual basis. One person might see the Bible as completely literal, and others won't. The matter of fact is that you can't organize individual belief without chaotic results, and thats my main beef. If the bible gets you through your day, fine, but I don't think a thirty three year old man who's never heard of Christianity would go into a bookstore, read the bible, and say "wow man, this is what I've been looking for. Everything makes sense now." If you want to find the truth to whatever you think is true, then ask questions, and keep on looking for the answers knowing you probably aren't going to get them until you're dead.

More like it's too bad to be true considering the state of the world right now, if there is a god he rather enjoys humanity's suffering.

Religion is something people believe in, a comfort zone for people who are afraid of death, for others, a guideline of how to live and all that jazz, its a great thing because most religious beliefs teaches people to be good. Personally I believe that this could be a divine being out there somewhere, and you know what? I makes me comfortable knowing that I believe in something. Also I follow the Hindu guidance, hence im a pacifist.

I believe that religion was created as a way to keep humanity, well humane. For the people that would go insane if they thought that their life had no meaning, there was nothing to go to after they died and no one was watching them to make sure they knew right from wrong, they would turn insane and were likely to hurt themselves and others. Of course that does not apply to all now, but when religion was first created alot of people would believe the latest thing someone would tell them. But I'm not so sure now, not that god doesn't exist, but that religion was created for that purpose.
