I've seen people in that state- if I was more brazen I would claim to know the difference between the people who are serious and the ones who bluff for attention. But I can't, because drama gone too far has killed a lot of people.
Either way, whether it be a fact or a dramatical cry for attention, it's not healthy in the slightest. There seems to be this large movement of thinking in the west that everyone cuts to be a drama queen! D: . However I tend to think that if a person can slash their own skin to a point that it would leave life long keloid scars there's something not quite right about their state of mind. It doesn't matter if they're on the internet. I mean, I've met my fair share of crazy ass people on the web. It IS irritating if some people cut themselves for shallow gain. And I say that because I know there are people who do it because they aren't well, and the lines of what is a real alert and what is just for attention get blurred. Which means the ones that need the help are placed in the same pool of rejection when they actually should have medical access.
If you have known her for so long, I would still recommend you utilize any piece of solid information you have on her. So if you have a phone number, contacts via MSN/ the internet/ whatever~ educate as many people who know her possible about her habits. If you truly care it would be the best hope for her. | |
