People also say the world will end on Wednsesday this week, and recently we thought world would end. Trust me, after all this do you think that since a book was written about it, it will happen.

Uh... There's actually a lot of scientific evidence surrounding the whole issue.
Those who say "err wtfzors i don't believe it, im still alive" really should do some research. The mayans had a highly advanced and still the most active calender ever made. Even better than us now in the year 2008. The date the mayans speak of is the date where a blackhole in our universe will come between the earth and the sun (I believe) and scientists don't know what this will mean. I love it when people think we are smarter than every other civilization because have lived longer, but those ancient societies have tremendous scientific discoveries, and are comparatively more advanced than our civilization.

The mayan calendar END ITS 13TH CYCLE ON 2012 THEN IT STARTS AGAIN.
They didn't predict a black hole. They said that the sun gives off a solar flare every 5,125 years. They think that will turn the earth and cause natural disasters. Bullshit if you ask me.

Personally, I don't think it will end. Not that soon. It's also been said by many that the world was going to end many times, but the world is still here. What makes people believe in this certain date?

Anyways though, it still won't stop me from preparing for it though.
