What to buy and not

Here is a list of games you should buy and not , Or i kind of review thingy mcbob on what's coming out.

Big brain academy
The graphics are nothing challenging to the system, but they offer the same simplistic approach as the DS. This is actually a gracious thing instead of a harmful venture on Nintendo's part. Therefore, as long as you are not expecting the next great CGI filled video game, you will be fine. The sounds are a bit hokey, but this is also part of the charm of the game. The Wii-mote speaker provides a new feature to the game in the form of a coach. The coach acts as your support during the rapid question answering as it feeds you lines of encouragement that may sound a bit wooden at times, but is a welcome addition for those of us that need that friendly push to keep on trudging through. While Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree may not be anything revolutionary considering the games on the DS, it does provide an entertaining experience while helping you learn. It is great to see games with a specific goal in mind succeed, and the funny thing is that Big Brain delivers in a pair, providing a learning experience and a degree in fun. I for one could not be happier. Now excuse me while I go weigh my brain. The greatest thing about this game is that.... It's only £17. Hlaf the price of a normal wii game and as i said it can be fun!

Smackdown Vs. Raw 2008
If you have all the consoles, I recommend getting the 360 version, due to its great online program and better animations, but if you're not a fan of the Smackdown series ever since it started going from arcade style and into simulation, try the Wii version. It's going to feel like a highly interactive arcade game in your house.
Look for all the versions of Smackdown Vs. Raw 2008 this fall. And remember.....kids may enjoy the Wii version more, but if any game will cause broken T.V.s, it's going to be this game, so monitor your children's imitation wrestling carefully. Let's just hope that you don't have to leap off a couch with a Wii-mote to imitate Chris Benoit.

Super smash bros. Brawl
You wanted it....you got it! Nintendo announced today via a video announcement trailer that indeed, a new installment of the insanely popular Super Smash Bros. franchise would be appearing on the Wii. Oddly enough, it was Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid that helped bring the announcement to the masses....and he was labelled as a newcomer, which means Nintendo is going after third party companies to get their permission to use outside characters. How cool is that? Finally you'll be able to answer the age old question, "Who would win in a fight between Pikachu and Solid Snake?", because we know you have nothing better to do with your time than invent ridiculous matchups. Kid Icarus fans must be busy relieving themselves in their pants right about now.

Super mario galaxy
The game looks great, and hopefully it will support 480p resolution (Progressive Scan) and widescreen to maximize the Wii's potential to the fullest. Fun gameplay is definitely very important, but we've been let down by poor quality graphics in some of the recent Wii games, so I'm ready to see more great looking games like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and even Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Of course, it won't be without its characteristic, fluffy, and colorful 3D design that we previously saw in Super Mario Sunshine and, to a certain extent, in Super Mario 64; however, we expect it to be greatly improved.
Are you all ready? Hopefully this year's E3 will unveil new details about the game. I'll keep you posted with any news i hear about Super Mario Galaxy.

MySims
I can't really compare this game to the Sims as much as I can compare it to Animal Crossing. The games both involve keeping a community running smoothly along with wacky characters. The main difference between MySims and Animal Crossing is the fact that you can customize so much in MySims. If you love building type sim games or just love games with Create-A-Player, then MySims should become your Sims. Everyone should look for this title in the fourth quarter of 2007.

Spiderman 3
Spider-Man 3 delivers in many ways. Unfortunately, there are too many ways that his agility should have helped him bounce out of the way. For every step in the right direction, something always leads him back a few steps. The gameplay is both innovative and bothersome, especially if this is your first outing with a single player game on the Wii. There are obvious areas of improvement that should have been thought out a little more. While it doesn't completely make you think you are the web slinger, Spider-Man 3 for the Wii does at least aid you in the life long dream of pretending.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is a Wii fan's awaited gift. After waiting through menial releases to slowly warm gamers up to the Wii's gimmicks and gameplay, Nintendo has finally opened the cage that kept the Wii's capabilities in secure captivity. With a full spectrum of visual spectaculars and fun, interactive gaming, this latest addition to the Metroid saga will be one that reminds old gamers of the attributes that made the series in its infancy and excite new gamers with its overhauled concepts of movement and play. It looks as if Nintendo will uncover another gem upon the release of Samus' newest adventure, bringing a great adventure to Wii players everywhere and finally piercing a cloud of speculative doubt and curiosity about the system's ability to support any kind of serious or dramatic play. Corruption will be a must have for any fan of the series or of its new home, the odd child of console gaming, the Nintendo Wii.

Sonic the secret rings
I have had this game and uh its so boring you have to do the same thing over and over again. Also the 1-4 player games suck like ^%&* they last about 1min. Not worth the £37

Project H.A.M.M.E.R
Project H.A.M.M.E.R. has been a game that was revealed and then suddenly quieted. This has hindered the amount of information available about the game and, as most of us know, once a brief taste of a game is given and then we are denied anything else, our taste buds salivate for anything we can find. As the release draws near, it can only be expected that we will see and hear more about this sure to be classic game.

Alien Syndrome
Hopefully, fans of the old Alien Syndrome will enjoy all the new bells and whistles added to the updated Wii version of the game. One can only hope that the game retains most of its vintage charm in its transition into the newest generation of games.

Exite Truck
Excite Truck has all the staying power of an arcade game. Don’t expect a lot of replay value out of this game despite the two-player, offline, split-screen mode. And for that matter, don’t expect a lot of “play” out of it the first time through as you probably won’t want to work so hard to reach the coveted “S” ranking. A rental is recommended.

Rock Band
Rock Band, is truly going to be a trailblazer in the musical gaming genre. Not only does it allow you to play one of four instruments, but the online capabilities are just amazing. You'll be networking and playing music via your console with your band-mates from around the world. And that's something that I don't think anyone would have imagined could be possible with a game system. But it's simply amazing, and I'm so excited not only for this game, but for what else lies ahead in the future of gaming. If we keep making these types of leaps and bounds, who knows what's possible?

Super Paper Mario
All in all, Super Paper Mario is a great game for all ages, full of all those great things that Nintendo knows how to do but that they hadn't delivered in a while before last years' successful DS title. Super Paper Mario is probably the perfect game for those that enjoyed New Super Mario Bros. and don't mind reading a bit too much as it has an actual story and cutscenes. Those who enjoyed Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, or Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time should also have a great time with this one, as long as they don't expect a bunch of RPG-style battles; this one is more complex than that and lighter when it comes to fighting. I can't think of many reasons why someone wouldn't like this game, but just make sure you're not somebody that just wants to play Call of Duty all night or hates reading during video game cutscenes; unless that's your case, go ahead and give Super Paper Mario a try. This game is so engaging that you won't quit without finishing the game and finding out what happens at the end. Will things go back to normal in the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond or is this the beginning of the end.

Guitar Hero III
The fever is building, and rightfully so. Guitar Hero has quickly become the series that everyone has fun playing no matter your musical preference. Of course, there will be info to strum out of RedOctane before the release of the title, and we will keep you posted. Who knows? Maybe the next few tracks released will have songs from legendary bands like Metallica, AC/DC, and maybe Led Zeppelin.

Manhunt 2
If all goes according to plan, Manhunt 2 could be a game to look for this summer if you have a strong enough stomach. With a unique story that might be a mix of the psychological thrills of Silent Hill and The Suffering and more of what made Manhunt such a guilty pleasure, Manhunt 2 will definitely be on the radar of gamers and censors alike.

Grand Theft Auto: Disneyworld
We have been shocked before. When Disney and Square Enix paired to bring us Kingdom Hearts we said there was no way that game would be good, but it was. Well, I feel pretty confident that no good can come of this game. Though it would be enjoyable to finally learn the truth about Mickey Mouse, as Disney put it. Either way, this will be disturbing on so many levels, and we will enjoy every minute of it. Who knows, maybe they will finally address the issue of why Goofy stands up and Pluto walks on all fours, only time will tell. Check back with us when the game releases next April 1st for our full review.

Call of Duty 3
This version of Call of Duty 3 has all of the action you’ve come to expect from the series and therefore is a pretty sound choice for those who want to experience it on their new Wii system. If you’re willing to invest the time in adopting an entirely new (and at times cumbersome) control scheme, CoD3 can be rewarding. The Wii-mote setup does take some time to adjust to and feels great in terms of aiming and movement, but loses points for some unavoidable fumbling which can occur at the most inopportune times. The lack of online play hurts, but of course its absence only affects those who would play online in the first place. If you’re a single player gamer all the way, it won’t matter. Just understand that you’ll be trading “feel” for visuals if you make the choice to purchase the Wii version over the X360 or PS3.

Mario Party 8
They did a good job giving Mario Party lovers what they like and, for once, they actually showed improvement and innovation. It still doesn't reach some people's expectations, but it's a good start for a new Mario Party era. The Wii allows for originality and advancement in both the design and gameplay departments, so if you haven't lost your appetite for new Mario Party experiences, this one shouldn't disappoint you. I'm glad I got it! Just stay away from it if you are tired of seeing new Mario Party games on the shelves every season.

Shrek the Thrid
Shrek the Third appears to be carrying the movie curse mantel at least one more time. There are several attempts at greatness, like the mini-games that can be enjoyed with your friends. Yet, the mini-games are more of a distraction than anything else. While a huge audience may not enjoy Shrek's third movie based adventure all that much, the simplicity and over the top antics of the characters will keep the diehard fans of the loveable ogre pleasantly entertained.

POP: Rival Swords

No extras have been added whatsoever, and they were already short on that before. The only unlockables available are a few pictures and game art, along with some cutscenes. You'll unlock these by earning sand credits found in hidden treasure chests within the game.the only thing that has been changed from the Two Thrones is the controls, which now imply swing the Wii-mote and Nunchuk as a sword; if you haven't played the Two Thrones and enjoy platforming mixed with fighting and puzzles, don't miss this game; it's a true masterpiece.

Mortal combat : Armagedon

If you havent already played the PS2 version to death you would realize there is nothing new about this game there is no reason why any one should be exited about this, graphics are just what they where on the other games on the ps2 and xbox. If you've already played mortal combat games there is no reason why you should buy this.

Wii play
Like eyetoy with loads of games the main reason its always sold out is becuase when you buy it you get a free controller . About £35 . I got it yesterday and when i finally played it, I realized that eyetoy is better than this.

Stay tuned , More coming soon

The secret rings isn't that bad but the movement sucks.

The multiplayer was ok...it was like a better version of Mario Party.

There's some obvious ones you're missing, like Metroid, Smash Bros., and Super Mario Galaxy.

You have other games on there that aren't out - why no these (and I'm sure there other 'obvious' got-to-buy games out there too)

Rayman: Raving rabbids is one of my favorite games on the wii. The only downside is you have to play through the story mode before you can play multi-player.
