How to Gain Underground Access: DUMMY EDITION!

You're either reading this because you're looking to gain access to the wonders of the Underground, or you've been declined Underground Access. Well, look no further! "How to Gain Underground Access: DUMMY EDITION!" will teach you just what to put into your application and what you need to do to be accepted.

STEP ONE: Read the requirements.
You can find this by clicking on Applications > Underground > Underground Application Information.

Basically, the requirements are: Being a member for 1 month, 250 posts, at least 2 successful threads and 10 rep. That DOESN'T mean that you should apply as soon as you hit the 250 post mark!

Once you've completed Step One, move on to Step Two.

STEP TWO: Analyze what you've done.
So you've been a member for a month, got 250 posts, 2 successful threads and 10 rep.. What now?

Take a look at your two threads. Did they really contribute to the members of GG at all? Or, are they just simple chat threads which were pretty successful? Chances are you've just chatted up a lot of people and thought it was pretty neat. I can assure you.. That's no good. Make a guide or two, price some pets for someone.. Anything remotely helpful or intelligent. (DON'T PLAGIARIZE, DAMNIT.)

Once you've got that done, take a look at your posts. Only 250? Applying at the 250 mark kind of makes you look like a leecher. Be more active and helpful and it'll look a LOT better on your record.

Now, take a look at your rep. Do you have enough? If not, try revising your guides or making new guides that will peak the interest of the GG community to get rep. Don't go ASKING for it, though!

Once you've completed Step Two, move on to Step Three.

STEP THREE: Look at other applications.
Maybe you think you're missing something. Chances are you probably ARE missing something! Take a look at other people's applications, both Accepted and Rejected, and see what you're missing. (The Underground - Gaming Gutter) Again, DON'T PLAGIARIZE.

Once you've completed Step Three, move on to Step Four.

STEP FOUR: Self-approval.
Once you've written up your application, read it over a couple of times: If you were a GG staff member, would YOU accept yourself into UG? If you can honestly say yes, then go ahead and press submit! If you look and say no, then try going through the steps again and see what you've missed.

Note: If you make a guide and it gets shown to a staff member then moved to UG, you automatically get UG access. So put effort into your guides!
