E3 Microsoft Spotlight

Watched that yesterday on G4 anyone else see or hear anything of it? Seems Xbox just wanted to be a douche to Playstation 3 the most but they did introduce avatars which work incredibly like Mii's and then bragged saying Xbox was the only game system with avatars. Square Enix also announced Final fantasy XIII for the Xbox360 and afterwords Don, head of some shit there, said "This is just one of the many blockbuster franchises of Plastation that have begun to switch to Xbox ranging from Grand Theft Auto to Resident Evil 5 to Final Fantasy." Though other then this being a huge bash fest against the Playstation 3 which provided some minor amusement. Online co-op has been announced for Fable 2 which will work with glowing orbs representing your friends playing single player then you can invite them in at any point in the game unfortunately they did not specify if more then one person could join. Gears of War 2 though a short video looked just as bitching as always. Fallout 3 created by Bethesda the same guys who made Oblivion feels an awful lot like a mixture between Oblivion, Bioshock, and a SRPG the game had some decent humor in the trailer they showed and the demo seemed to be fun using the "fat boy" which is a shoulder-held miniature nuke launcher. Also he was using a perk called bloody mess which in the guys words "Allows people to die in ridiculously bloody ways." which may have been why he managed to shoot of a guys a legs, feet and head with a sniper rifle. Which was accomplished through the alternative battlemode which is queuing up attacks and then the character enacts them or you can just use the real-time mode. I hadn't much interest in it before but now that is a game I want NOW! Along with the Mii's Xbox 360 has announced a software updated that will overhaul the Xbox 360 and in my opinion make it a little more annoying to navigate getting rid of the appealing yet functional layout they have no settling more for what they on the original xbox which was shit.

One a side note Don predicted the 360 would outsell the Playstation 3 this year. I disagree with this claim nearly everyone already owns an Xbox 360 while not many people own a Playstation 3, I don't even know anyone at my school who has one :\. Therefore when no one really is buying Xbox it doesn't matter how much better he views it the Playstation 3 will most likely receive more sales but only because no one has one yet.

And yeah, The PS3 is getting a nice kick in the dick. Can't wait for Metal Gear to show up on XBox, because that's pretty much game over for it.

360's like to crap out a lot,
so they might be factoring that in
when they say 360's might sell better.

(Although I don't think they're as bad as Ps3's in the crapping out department.
everyone I know of that's had one has had to send it back because it just quit working)

Yeah that was a massive problem thankfully mine and trevors have avoided "The red ring of death" and Metal Gear Solid 4 would be so epic for Xbox 360. Did you know they plan to continue the series without Solid snake? What bullshit is that man :[.

The series was doomed to fizzle out eventually,

The new generation of 360s are surviving the Three Lights of Death, and I don't see why everyone complains about that seeing that they get it replaced for free, and if it takes too long they give you a free game.

The 360 actually looks like it'll do well this year, but E3 is far from over, and the PS3 could still prevail. I really want to know the release date for Resident Evil 5 though, I'm really hoping they'll give more information about that :/

What the fuck do you think PS3 could ever do that would best Fable 2 with online Co-op? The only way that could possibly happen if .hack online came out for PS3.

Well keep in mind that it's just a single game, that's like saying the 360 is better than the PS3 only due to Halo 3. Though I've already stated that I believe the PS3 is better than the 360 either way, and by the looks of it my mind won't change, but I still have high hopes for the expensive machine. I don't think it'll pass the 360's level, but I'm sure we'll see something big sooner or later
