Flashing SAMSUNG MS25 and MS28 drives

You're going to need:
a) 360 with the proper drive
b) xtremebootmaker 5.3 http://x-projects.org/index.php?opti...d=13&Itemid=37
c) A USB Drive to make a xtreme dc-r (a 32 Meg will suffice)*
d) SATA controller VIA VT6421A pci card
e) xtreme52.rar and iXtreme 1.0 Download latest Xbox360 utilities, tools, cracks and hacks. Download latest Xbox360 utilities, tools, cracks and hacks.
f) Know which firmware your drive has

Start xbm 5.3 untick the box and type: (1234567 12345) in the box's like so

click the tab (general options) then open firmware (double click on the rar file or click open)

Tick box use custom controller then list scsi controller and select the sata from the scroll down list

select (via VT6421A raid controller)

click on the tap (create basic disk)
select the xtream fw (eg:5.x b.c or d) then scroll down to the drive you ar flashing (i always use xtrem52c)

Next destination drive is the usb stick select the usb stick then tick the box format / make drive bootable and then click create disk

You're done setting up the USB drive

Happy Flashing

Open the usb pen drive just to check it. Here is his:

Now to the flashing of the ms28 360 drive
1) boot usb stick

2) On the dos screen turn on the 360

3)TYPE: (xread) with out brackets and hit enter

4) You will see the 360 drive (pri extream master) then turn off the 360

5) Select the 360 drive (pri extream master) Waite 10 seconds

6) Then turn the 360 on (it will start to read the 360 drive)

7) When it's finished it will go back to the cmd

8) Here you need to restart your pc and turn of your 360 and boot back to dos

9) Do the same to flash it just replace xread with xflash

Using iXtreme v1 with xtremebootmaker
Tick the box use custom controller then list scsi controllers
then select your sata last open the firmware it should look like so:

Now click create basic disc untick the box (i want to flash multiple drives) and number the boxes like so

Last click on create disc thats it happy flashing

Restoring the drive

then turn on the 360

select the 360 drive: (pri xtream master)

count to 10 then turn on the 360 it should start to restore the drive

when its dun turn of the pc and 360

now your drive should be restored.

*run xbm set it up like you are going to flash your drive (ie: run through the tut or guide)
leave the box ticked "i want to flash multiple drives"

then get xbm to wright the files to the master hdd "c" in your rig/pc

right go to your hdd and open it you should see a Xtreme folder its dun that bit

insert a cd-r in to the drive

now start Nero burning rom you need to select "cd-rom (boot)"
leave the setting alone thay should be set to make a cd-r boot striate to dos
now click on the tab new

then file browser open the master hdd then open the Xtreme folder you made before
and drag all the content of of the right column to the column with name at the top then click burn (do not copy over the backup folder)
http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/5425/temp0bv2.png
when its finished reboot your pc and see if it boots up
once you get it to boot up

you dont need the xtreme folder on the hdd any more delete it

now carry on with flashing the drive (ie: go back and follow the guide)

if u are going useing this method use a CD-R RW as you can try till it works/boots

and you need a hdd connected up when flashing so it has some were to put the backup folder with your original.bin

Once again, I didn't come up with this, all props go to my buddy tpepsiman for writing this and providing pictures for it all. If for whatever reason he wishes I remove this, I will.
