GPoints: 782 Rep Power: 12 | Help pl0x I was wondering if there is a way to bypass the restrictions on the xbox live marketplace so I can download rated m stuff? I've been trying to find a method on google but to no avail and since I can't download any videos/demos that are rated M I imagined I'm screwed for Map Packs as well so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try going to the System Blade > Family Settings > Console Control > * > Allow All?
*There's a whole section where the asterisk is, and each one has its own option of what kind of material you can play/watch/download. Normally that would do it, if not, post back and I'll give you something else to try

GPoints: 782 Rep Power: 12 | That can't help, it's a restriction based off age, your parents can't promote you to an adult account either. You must wait till your 18 and then you get an option to promote your account to an adult one and it needs a valid credit card.
Long story short never trust fucking Americans with video game tech.

GPoints: 69 Rep Power: 0 | Have you tried running Initial Setup? And how did you get it to be based by age anyway? I'm sure there's a way to undo that

GPoints: 782 Rep Power: 12 | Because it had locked my hotmail age so I wasn't allowed to lie. It's just some bullshit microsoft did and can't be fixed till your 18.

GPoints: 69 Rep Power: 0 | I didn't have a Hotmail account at the time, so I used my brother's. He was 15 or so at the time, and that's what he set his age on as well. Have you tried deleting the GamerTag, running Initial Setup, then creating an older GamerTag?

I've recovered mine several times, that option is there in case you accidentally delete your GamerTag off your HDD/Memory Unit, or if you want to transfer it to another HDD/Memory Unit. Either way, give it a try, you won't lose anything.
