Turok

I didn't see a thread on the newest Turok game, so i guess i'll start one.

I just picked up the game today at the local wal mart for $59.99, i believe. Within the first 20 minutes of play, i knew this game was going to be able to hold my attention. The only games that hold my attention for hours at a time are first person shooters.
At one point, i got so into the game, i lost track of time. My mother left to get her hair "done", i don't know what she did to it, perhaps she got a perm, i really don't know. In my mind, 10 minutes had passed. The door opened, and she said hello. I stayed seated, slitting a raptors throat, and i yelled downstairs, why didn't you get your hair done? She said she did. I asked her how, she had only been gone for 10 minutes. She told me that she had been gone for 2 hours, and even proved it by showing me the clock. I was shocked. Never before have i lost track of that much time playing a video game. I'm usually aware when i kill time shooting CPU bad guys.

So, i really enjoy playing Turok. Currently, I am stuck trying to kill a sea monster probably over a mile underground. It's 2:30 AM right now, so i forced myself to shut off my console and get something to eat. I had the worst time trying to kill the T-Rex. I finally found out how after kicking the bucket atleast 8 times. I know how to kill the sea monster, it's just tricky not getting eaten while igniting the vents on the ground.

I got a huge adrenaline rush the first time i was attacked by a raptor, and another when i was shooting a group of kane's troops. As i was shooting, i heard thumping in the background, and then I saw a T-rex make his debut. he slaughtered all of the men for me, and i was safely hidden from his sight, so he took off.

I've been told the game is great to play online as well, but i don't have x-box live, so i can't give my opinion on that.

So, if there's anyone else that enjoys this game, perhaps we could get a discussion going?

Yea the Turok game did blow, the dino's looked nice, but the graphics were a let down after playing something like call of duty.

The N64 Turok was fun, is this the same or better?

wow i do own turok 1 and 3 for N64, the multiplayer modes are really fun, single player game mode gets boring once u beat it

This Turok lacks, it doesn't stack to other shooters, the storymode is mind numbingly easy, the only mode made me wtf and I stopped playing completely.

I've been over a friends house the past 2 days, but when i got home tonight i started where i left off. i still wasn't able to defeat the sea monster.
