So, I was looking at the banlist and I'm unsure what PBM stands for. I'm guessing it stands for Previously Banned Member?
If so, is there a way to auto-detect this, or does a user need to be reported? I guess I'm asking because I just noticed someone who seemed pretty active was recently banned, with the reason being "PBM". I'm curious as to how they got away with it for a while. | |

GPoints: 2,070 Rep Power: 7 | yes pbm is previously banned member, and people get away with it for awhile by switching their I.P.s but that doesn't matter, it always comes back in the end, because of our ever watchful mods and admins =)

There are lots of ways for us to detect PBM's, but hell, I NEVER get tired of hearing suspicions ( with GOOD evidence) from a user of a possible PBM.

I guess it's just shocking when it's someone who has been active :[
What kind of evidence can us regular users look for, aside from same/similar usernames and/or emails? | |
