Moparscape/ Runescape Private Server Guide Pt 1

Have you ever wondered what a runescape private server was? Well this is the guide for you .




I have a long history with private servers, I have co-owned two and admined many more.



Basically if you don't know what a private server is, it is a version of Runescape hosted,updated and edited by a regular person who knows how to code.



Most of these servers will have much easier training than runescape,better items/bonuses and some may even let you train up to 200 in your levels.

One downside of these servers is that some of them may have some lagg, and few are up 24/7.



It is all a matter of finding a good server with little lag and nice updates.

Here is a guide to get you started:




Step 1: Head to www.moparscape.org TOS and get on the webclient. If you prefer you can download the client here : Moparscape v3.2 Download
(I'd suggest just using the webclient)




Step 2: Click on the "Server Status Page" link at the top of the client, this will lead you to a list of available servers (Or go here Mopar's Server Status Checker)




Step 3: Click on a server that has a high uptime (or a cool name ) then get the Ip and port, for example :

nixonscape.no-ip.biz
Port: 43594
Uptime: 100% 05-03-08

Most server's will have a port of 43594 which is the default port on the client.




Step 4: Once you have this, head back to your client and hit Enter. Now make up and username and password you want.
NOTE: Do NOT use your real runescape username and password just incase.
Now enter in the ip of the server and click "Login"



Step 5: If it works great! If not first make sure the server has the default port, if not go to File "New Port" and enter in the server's port.

Or just try another server until you can login (This may take alot of time to find a good server).







I will be posting another more in depth guide later today about what to do after you get started, and about Silabs which is like moparscape, only it has all of runescape's new items such as Skillcapes and more.
