GPoints: 1,241 Rep Power: 15 | burning dvds... Ok, So I have a bunch of movies on my computer and I want to put them onto a DVD cd, they are like DVD-RW or some shit like that.
Currently the videos are in .avi format.
What format do I need to get them to play on most dvd players?

if it can play divx, go on write it with nero or any other burner into a DVD
if not, you can install nero and make "burn new dvd" and get the DVD

GPoints: 1,241 Rep Power: 15 | What I mean is:
I have downloaded movies from torrents on my computer.
I want to burn those, I have nothing but like... a dvd burner to burn them or some shit idk.
AVI's don't work on DVDs, they only work on MP3's / shit like that.
I want to convert them to play on a DVD disc and player.

GPoints: 2,636 Rep Power: 7 | My friend burns anime so my other friend could watch them on TV. From what I know, he converts them to .vob so it's playable on DVD player. After it's converted to .vob you have to use Nero Image to burn it.

Or even better, if you have a DVD player that plays DIVX, you can just convert to DIVX and burn them off as a files disc and you can fit like 6-7 movies on one DVD.
