Laptop help please

So I am starting school in January. I will be working towards a Bachelors in Fine Arts - Graphic Design.
I need a laptop built for graphics! Any suggestions?
I will be running Photoshop CS3 among other photo/art programs (im really not sure what else other than CS3)

Also, I dont have a LOT of money to spend on it, and I would rather not spend a fortune becuase in two years I will need to switch to a MAC becuase of the university's rules. (I am starting at a community college for my AA)

SO, I would rather get a PC for the time being and I would strongly prefer XP over Vista (I want to avoid vista at all costs)
I would really like it to have the dual hard-drive
and I would PREFER lightscribe or other disk labeling technology, but it isnt needed. Also, I would prefer to have a number key pad, but that is just a personal preference and I can life without it if it would cost more than $50.00 extra.

So, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find me the perfect laptop. Preferably under $1500.
This message will not self-distruct in 10 seconds.

Thank you

edited to add- I would like a longer lasting battery and a 15.4 inch screen (although the 15.4 inch screen isnt all that important, it's just what I am used to with my old laptop, which died on me)

I have a bunch of photo editing stuff on my laptop and I have photoshop and it is going pretty well.
So I suggest an Aspire 3680
Very long battery life
wide screen
My dad spent about 980 dollars on it!
Very good deal!
It can make dvds and cd's.
