[Question] Processors which is better?

or a dual core processor.

Why not go for quad core...Isn't it 4x compared to dual which is 2x

Because dual core is already overkill, and quad core is just expensive as fuck. Most things (afaik) aren't even design for dual cores yet, and even worse for quad. Go with whatever you can afford.

Idk, it all depends on what you're planning on using your computer for, I'm assuming games, but for the quad core to actually work properly you need to have a certain software (not sure which one) to actually make sure their doing what their supposed to and not just jamming up the tubes, or at least this is according to my dad whom has a quad core.
