GPoints: 109 Rep Power: 122 | what could be blocking my wireless card? i am no longer able to connect "my" network that is located a house away that i don't have physical access to.
normally i used to get around 50%-55% signal strength and position computer/antenna in a specific way to get see the network.
for whatever reason its now 60%-65% but i can't connect to it at all, i monitor the wireless utility and i see the noise level flashes for half a second but for whatever reason i just can't connect to "my" network anymore although i can connect to my other wireless network just fine.
i thought "i" might've accidentally setup mac filtering since "i" didn't put security on it so i changed my wireless card to the mac of a "neighbor" who was usually on it and still no go.
anyone have a clue? i doubt it but it doesn't hurt to ask.

GPoints: 109 Rep Power: 122 | well i said i am physically unable to access the router so resetting it is impossible unless i manage to connect...
and code? its unsecured, there is no passkey to enter.
i was on it a while ago but for whatever reason it stopped responding so i tried to repair it and i was unable to get back on it again

GPoints: 109 Rep Power: 122 | no they can't. people can secure their networks by either mac address filtering or WEP/WPA pass phrase. neither are on it.

GPoints: 174 Rep Power: 5 | Hmm. Some routers are retarded. I'm not quite sure why it would stop working if there's no wep/wpa on it.
Reset the modem, but leave it unplugged for 15 seconds. | |

GPoints: 456 Rep Power: 2 | is the connection wireless? if so there are 2 reasonable problems Wifi maintance or (certain) your firewall "fishneted" another ip router adress from some where and that connection is focusing on that adress
If connection local well....try calling dell or w/e your system links to
