XP to Mac OS X conversion.

So in about 3 - 4 days ( I HOPE!!! )
The crappy XP Laptop I ordered will arrive.
It cost me about $300 - $350 for it with a 1GB Ram.
That is all I needed.

Enough to make a good "office" computer.
So I ordered the Mac OS X CD with it
(hopefully... it allowed me to get rid of the XP and make it into a mac)
If this is a success then I will have a cheap mac + cheap office computer
for random use.

I know macs suck at games, but I will just use that computer for office / random type of stuff / back up.

Has anyone tried to dump XP or another OS to try to go to another OS?

Kyo wants me to do this to the 175$ dell laptop I just ordered from amazon, though I don't get it till after my surgery so I won't feel like doing it.
