I was getting around 12 mil all well though I unfortunately used 173 instead of 172 *tear* I hope you guys got it right... I'm 2/10 away from getting into the Blue building.

Okay... the only way I get close to MaxWhite's answer, and when I say close I mean I'm within like 100k of it...

is by multiplying the final TOTAL sP per hour by .45 instead of .55.

What that MEANS... is that MaxWhite's answer is not Esmerelda's cut, but instead the DISIGNER'S CUT. I.e., it is NOT the correct answer.

The correct answer can be found on the previous page, along with my explanation...
I'm calling it the correct answer because I've done the math over and over (and trust my methods) and I've seen a general consensus that there are 172 currently restocking items in the Subeautique.

I simply do not see any other answer. Please feel free to correct me if you have proof that I'm wrong, but also please show your math or other evidence instead of just saying "you're wrong"... because this kind of trivia requires work, not magic answers. <3

I really want to know why the previous trivia was wrong :( I can't figure out what could have been different. Meh. Oh well.

Okay, so now I'm REALLY curious... since it says that the answer was 9759053, which is what MaxWhite said without explaining any math. I would love to know what math process gets that answer... did anyone else get it?

something's fishy here with that last trivia... following the logic that we have X amount of items since that seems to be what nobody is 100% about... we multiply X by 3 since we know 3 of each item stocked, and then multiply 3X by 42,357. then this number must by multiplied by .55 to determine esmerelda's cut of the profits. so we have the equation .55(3X * 42357)=9759053 (now that we have the answer) bringing X to 139.636etc we know the answer was rounded up which explains the decimal here.

Soooo then trying in reverse, for 139 items the answer is 9714577.95 for 140 items the answer is 9784467 neither of which are the trivia answer.

I also tried using .45 for the designers cut just in case, which came out to 170.6 items, so trying 170 i got 9720931.5 and for 171 i got 9778113.45 again neither of which are our answer.

sooo this would indicate there was something else factored in.... my question is what. The only thing i can think is the fact that they said the "average" price which might indicate another math step though i can't think what. And it would be nice if maxwhite who got the answer right, would be kind enough to explain how.

Apparently, there's roughly 140 items--I'm too lazy to get how many items there actually are exactly. But, to be honest, I think Subeta mighta messed something up. BUT, according to their math, there is NOT 172 items currently restocking!!! Like I said, it's more like 140. Actually, it's 139.somethingoranother but... -shrug- That's why. ^_^
