| A different application
Well unlike everybody else that is posting, and will continue to post here, I’m not interested in the global moderator position, but rather overseer in the Warez section. Ever since my suggestion got approved the section has become very active, with more threads created constantly. Needless to say the place needs a person to moderate it.
With that said, I’m an active user on the forum, especially in that section. I find the requested warez fairly quickly, as well as post my own. I post popular and some not-so known programs alike, not to mention music and games.
As far as my capability of overseer, the quality of my posts speak for themselves. I suppose I can point out some of the big forums I’ve had power on, but that’d just be useless, and unless asked I don’t think I need to give examples. I’d like to think that I’m a helpful member, be it in the Writers Haven, the Warez World, or random Gaia/NeoPets questions.
I’ve got no warnings or infractions, which I suppose is a plus. Because I’ve got a laptop of my own now, I can now scan files that others post as well, and make sure idiots aren’t running spamming the section with infected files. I already have a few ideas like making sure everything is in the code tags, that every poster provides a screenshot of his/her programs scanned by an antivirus of some sort, and pointing out the most popular programs.
I am by no means applying for a moderator position, which by my understanding is an overseer for the entire forum, and I’m only looking for the Warez World section. Though if you want to look at it as a moderator application, then I guess you could, but those are your words, not mine. |
