The noise in the distance was so faint that even his trained ears might have missed the sound.Joey left the sandwich he was eating and moved in the direction of the sound.The sound of moving feet was cat-like.
He moved stealthily in its direction.Suddenly,he heard a sound from behind.

A careless mistake by Amy,she had toppled a vase in her hurry to escape.Realizing her mistake,she ran harder than she had ever had in her life.Joey was not to let her go so easily.He ran behind her,determined to catch her this time.Amy had been troublesome,he had failed to catch her 3 time and it was a blow to his pride.

Amy ran into alleys and corners in her desperation to escape from Joey.She was quick and sure footed and she understood exactly where this would lead her.Amy spotted a tree and climbed over it,taking the advantage of shadows.But Joey spotted her and waited down.He had plenty of patience.

He finally won.As soon as Amy came down,he pounced her.The poor cat whined but Joey had relished the moment.

The noise is the distance began very faintly, but it was quickly becoming louder with every passing moment. This wouldn't be so troublesome if the noise wasn't so inhuman; so supernatural. He had been listening for over an hour, but he had no inkling as to the origin of the strange noise. At this point, the noise was creating an awful throbbing in his ears that he simply could not ignore. It was time to run. Whatever this was, it couldn't be good.

Even as he ran away, however, the sound didn't diminish. It was as if it were everywhere, yet no object of origin could be located.

Shimmering and blue, the river ran,
The water swishing against the muddy banks,
The sun that gleaming against the moving mass of liquid.

Minutes later the sky turns dark,
The massive beauty turns brown,
And the rain starts to pour,
The tides become restless and pound oppisite banks,
Water rising and falling at tremendous speeds.

I sit and wait for my beautiful Shimmering and blue river to return as I shiver in the dank cold,
Hoping to see the all so wonderful sight again.

Haha I'm kind of rusty of my writing skills lately, so couldn't come up with anything very good, I'm just glad this thread returned

Shimmering and blue, his eyes sparkled as they met with mine. It had been so long since the last time. So long, yet everything still felt the same. How is it that though we had changed so much, we were still in love? We grew, yet never grew away from the other.

As he walked speedily towards me, I continued to reminisce over our past love. All the times we spent together- the good and the bad- came rushing back like a waterfall, and my eyes watered accordingly. How long had it been? Thirty or forty years? During which time my skin wrinkled, my hair grayed, my body decayed. Yet at this moment, I felt young as ever.

At that moment she had come to a shocking realization.

Her mother didn't really love her, just the idea of her. She remembered all those stories her mother had weaved about being so joyful when she found out she was pregnant with a girl. After have two monster sons who wouldn't be? Yet every recollection of her mother was tainted with a piercing criticism.

"You really need to lose some weight."

"Oh I think you would so pretty if you put on some make up."

"I know your trying to save money, but you should buy something nicer to wear?"

"Why don't you want to hang with your cousin? She's so pretty and smart. You really could learn from her."

"You got an A? That's great honey. Oh, there is a sale at the mall today!"

As tears left a watery trail upon her cheek she knew with every fiber of her being that she was a disappointment to her mother. She wasn't the slimmed figured girl her mother had wanted. Too bulky and big boned to pull off the dainty look her mother was fond of. She wasn't overly ambitious, having gone to community college while all her friends had gone to prominent UCs. She wasn't the shopping partner her mother wanted so badly. She sighed and wiped away her tears.

It was always the same. They'd clash, her mother would toss cutting remarks and she would stomp into her room. She'd stare at the razor stashed in her drawer until her mother came knocking to apologize out of obligation. What kind of mother would she be if she didn't? When she realized that her mother loved her for the simple fact that she was her mother and they shared a relation through blood, a batch of tears washed through her. She took a deep breath and wiped away her tears as she came to a conclusion. 'Fuck her' and promptly did a one finger salute to the closed doorway.

At that moment I finally realized that my life would finally begin anew. I wish I could take a picture of the joy bursting from my chest, or to see a glimpse of it at least. He's the cause of my laughing at nothing, my endless smiles that never leave, and the reason I love easier than before. Oh, sweet things to say and to do for the one who doesn't exist anymore. But at that moment I could believe it was true, for a simple second of happiness was presented...it was gone.

I stared down the ally, my ally where I lived. There was a body lying on the ground bleeding freshly

into the drainage sewer nearby. I shuttered, searching for a sign of who had done it. Nothing came

mind except empty space. I approached the body slowly praying this was some god-awful accident,

but knowing in my mind it wasn't, it was a hard hearted murder. I checked for a pulse, but there

wasn't one, unsure what to do I started to walk away. Before I could leave a furry creature

appeared. It started howling and before long they were all on me bite, and beating me to pulp,

claiming ownership of my ally.

Days later police arrived after examining the bodies all they could ask, was Who was it?

Kassandra was sprinting down the sidewalk in hot pursuit of her target, James A.K.A mad dog. Normally she would catch her targets with ease, but this time it was different, her highly conditioned legs just weren’t enough, mad dog was gaining ground rapidly and she was starting to lose sight of him. They dashed down an alley way, Kassandra considering defeat eased her pace watching as her target disappeared into the darkness of the alley. At that moment an ear piercing noise flew through the air, Kassandra hit the floor like a sack of bricks, she was dead.

Rumors of an agent’s death flew through campus like an infection. It was the first death since the start of the E.C.A.T.T (Extreme Children’s Anti-Terrorist Task force).

E.C.A.T.T
A program created by the United States in 1999, a task force specializing in the gathering and arresting of Terrorists. Its major difference from other task forces is its use of agents between the ages of 12 and 18. These agents are considered to be highly dangerous, trained in every aspect of combat and survival tactics. The success of this task force requires the secrecy of its existence, for E.C.A.T.T’s biggest advantage is that nobody expects it was the child.

No details had been disclosed about the death of Kassandra, the E.C.A.T.T administrators had decided it was best if they gave as little information as possible. The news of a death could spread wide panic and may result in agents refusing missions.

Alyssa, Kassandra’s closest friend knew something was wrong, Kassandra hadn’t been back from her mission in over 3 months, it was suppose to be routine; insert, snag, and extract, no more than a month. She was starting to wonder if the rumors were true, what if Kassandra really had been killed, what would happen with E.C.A.T.T, would it be shut down? For most agents E.C.A.T.T was their only home, they had either been picked up at orphanages or their parents had left them to fend for themselves. She contemplated over different scenarios for hours until an announcement sounded over the P.A:
“Hello agents, all of your Period 1 classes or training courses have been canceled, instead you will have to report to the atrium for a brief assembly, please wait for your block of the building to be called…”

The kids filed into the large and eccentric atrium, it had a vast amount of art work across each wall, spreading as high as the fourth floor it was truly a masterpiece in architecture. The assembly opened with general introductions, but then the mood in the room changed with one word, unfortunately it only took one word for mass discussion to spread across the room. Unfortunately...unfortunately, the word hit Alyssa like a brick wall, she knew what was about to be said. The administrator tried to continue on hoping people would settle down, but the discussion grew louder and more urgent, so he started to yell, and began again. “…unfortunately we are gathered here today to announce the death of an agent…” he paused, letting that line sink into the group, and then he continued “three weeks ago today, Kassandra was murdered, we still do not know who the culprit is but we are working extremely hard to find he or she. Next week on Monday Kassandra’s funeral will be held in building C, we invite you...” he continued on, but Alyssa couldn’t focus on what he was saying, her best friend had died, how could this happen?

Alyssa lay awake in her bed, angry she wished it hadn’t happened right before her birthday; she wanted Kassandra to be there with her. Was it selfish for her to only care about her own birthday, not the fact her friend had actually died? It was 1:00am when she realized what she had to do, she sprang from her bed quickly dressed, grabbed some equipment from her desk and headed for the door. She checked the hallway using her snake cam then once she knew it was empty she slowly opened her door and nervously walked into the hallway carefully shutting her door being sure not to make any noise.

She reached the armory, at 1:15am she swiftly inspected the security and staff, and then stealthily knocked out the two guards without making a noise. After carefully setting down the bodies and stealing their identification cards Alyssa moved into the armory gathering weapons, food and equipment she might need. She spotted the key rack behind the counter and contemplated taking one of the cars, all E.C.A.T.T agents are trained in advanced driving encase they have to speedily escape from a mission, so handling one of the highly advanced government vehicles would be easy. She grabbed the keys to a black BMW, with bulletproof windows, side paneling, black leather interior and sleek black paint. She approached the car placed the key into the door when she felt a cold piece of metal rest on the back of her neck. It was most definitely a hand gun, as panic started to consume her a voice came from the gun man “It’s a little late for driving practice isn’t it?” there was a quiet whistle, as the silenced pistol fired through Alyssa’s skull killing her instantly, the limp body smacked against the BMW before towering to the ground. The gun man slowly walked away from the body clutching the pistol in his right hand, he was dressed in a black straight jacket that hung just above his ankles. He swiftly unbuttoned the jacket and holstered his weapon, then took off his jacket and holster and shoved them into a garbage just outside the armory, but instead of leaving the building he turned around and headed back towards the housing block. He was now dressed in official E.C.A.T.T uniform, while walking through the corridors he spotted the Overall Best Agent plaque, it read “For Outstanding achievement on both missions and in classes, Kassandra” the man spoke through is teeth, “Should have been me”.

Three Months Later, the P.A sounded , “We have officially called off the investigation of the two murderer's on campus, the file has been kept open if by chance any new leads are discovered, but for now we are warning all agents to be weary, the killer is still out there and he may strike again...”

Hmmm. Would be nice to get comments on My Above Writing. ^^ Its a little childish I assume, but I enjoyed writing it, and it has grammatical errors of course, but I would love to hear feedback about it.
