Plastik Corpses

I just learned that my friend is an amazing writer and he is writing several pieces all surrounding 'Plastik Corpses'. Here is one of them.


Sick of all the plastik corpses,
That littered the neon streets,
Desolate and disparing on the dark silent night.
The lies that were embeded into his body,
Forced so deep that they scarred his mind and soul.
Walking silently along the baren streets,
Even if he could have make a sound,
No one was there to hear it .
For the plastik dolls had ears,
But even if they wanted to listen.
They could not.
They were plastik,
Soulless lifeless perfections.

In terms of poetry, I generally dislike free verse. However, I didn't mind this one. It has some good imagery, and excellent pacing. Like, even reading it silently, I could tell it would sound good read aloud.
