Here ya' go:

When I am broken, all seems lost;
Yet, when I am fixed, anything is possible.

What am I?

(May not be rhyming, but from what I know, this is a decent riddle. Have a go at it.)

HINT:
Mini-riddle #1:
Someone with an ironfist is known to have a large amount of this.
Answer: Strength

Mini-riddle #2:
The pain of torture affects the body in an obvious way, but why restrict it to that?
Answer: Mental

Mini-riddle #3:
Religion is such a debatable term for it.
Answer: Faith
