Memoirs of a Geisha

Painted lips, so red - like a ruby - so fine,
slightly parted, to release silent breaths.
Skin, pale like Spring's Jasmine flower,
quivers like a violin just struck.

Wide eyes, swimming in glitter, like water
- such a pale and desperate blue.
A mirror of forlorn and tangled emotions,
misty and unseeing in concentration

The atmosphere stirs in a ripple of movement
A strand of stark hair, swept aside
In painted fingers, an ornate fan
Brushing through the air

Elegance in every claustrophobic step,
as the pace quickens. Silent feet.
The strumming of the music - intense.
Body, perfectly balanced. Mind blank.

Stop.
Perfect stillness, like a mannequin.
Plastic, reusable, replaceable, disposable.
Blind to the crowd, loud in their impression.

Stage lights fade, - she disappears
No longer still, but a violent shaking.
Pained are the feet, hot is the skin.
A glistening river from water-eyes.

I do post in the anime section, from time to time, and I used to trade a lot here and post in the Gaia forum. Then my Gaia accounts all got banned, so I haven't posted in any of the gaming forums in a while :3.

I lurk a lot. Mostly in Writer's Heaven, Anime Spot, General Discussion and Entertainment. Oh, and the Pit. I don't really play any of the games discussed here =]
