I have to leave for two weeks on a trip. I PMed my choice for the winner to Fewmitz, who is going to take over judging for me.

Before I sign off for the night, though, I have to go merge some posts and infract a few people. Remember: there's still no double posting in the Haven. xD

Well, here's the thing.

Bunneh kinda held the festival together, and now he's gone. And I don't know what happened to nom. Plus I'm not sure what the hell I'm supposed to do to the winner, I don't even know if I'm the only judge!

EDIT: I just looked at Nom's addition to this topic, and fuck, we don't even HAVE three contestants!

I do believe that you're the only judge for this one, and I say you just pick your winner and get it over with. Because there's only three to five contestants, just go with a single winner and rep him/her. When Bunneh or nomhak come back, they can decide whether or not to reward the others, and possibly further the winner.

Oh summer I really do hate thee
Every time you get near I'm in pain
I hurt in my heart, I hurt in my knee
I'd rather be hit by an oncoming train

My blood pressure goes up
My head starts to spin fast
So I lay in bed sipping tea in a cup
Your heatwaves are always unsurpassed

My chest wants to cave in
My throat gets too dry
Feels like I'm in hell for my sin
Feels like I'm floating in the blue sky

While my stomach is ready to hurl
My chin starts to quiver
Tears dripping down as if I'm a girl
And now it hurts down in my liver

Completely covered in sweat
Laying here with a busted A/C
If you think I'll pass out that's a good bet
Cold water should help but there's no guarantee

Summer I do truly hate thee
Now I just feel woozy
Room is so dark I can't even see
Puking blood like shot by an uzi

Summer that's why I hate thee
It's the waking up in the smell
It's the pain that everyone could see
It's the agony I won't even see in hell

The heat I cannot outrun
This hot season seems like a fluke
Though swimming is fun
But not if it's in your own puke



An Ode to Mosquitoes

Why must they swarm?
Why must they knowingly taste my body’s warm nectar?
I swat, I swipe, I slap and yet they refuse to reform.
These bestialities are often vectors.

Their buzzing drives me close to insanity;
They fly round the room with only one fixation,
Lacking any sense of humanity.
I can feel them as they land on my body; I realize now that this is my last chance for salvation.

In a moment of devastating hesitation,
I sense a small dagger like object slowly piercing through my skin.
At this time I know all is lost, for I can already see the beginnings of inflammation.
I can almost distinguish their small, hideous faces twist into maniacal grins.

The burning is unbearable,
I scratch and scratch, but nothing seems to help.
I search the room for my tiny foes, their wretched buzzing stays ever so terrible.
Finally, I see one in plain sight, I strike out and at last I hear a tiny yelp.

Feeling satisfied I walk out into the hall,
As I approach the stairs, I turn around,
Alas! The buzzing continues, I dive for the ground and begin to crawl;
Just maybe, if I make no sound, I will never again be found.



Summer's Fool

The breeze so sweet, so cool but warm
The sky an endless, cloudless black
Save on the horizon – dawn takes form
Stealing the sky - to take it back


A Coven, in the night looks bleakly
At the stars – The season's fool
The Witches dance is gay and blithely
To celebrate King Holly's rule


The Litha fire burns low and gold
The King of Oak gives up his throne
The dance repeats itself threefold
Till just the children dance alone


So ends our late Midsummer night
With the coming of the morning's light

Violets Are Blue
I love GG
More then You
I cant leave
Nothing can take it away
