BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU!
1984 was part of my grade 12 curriculum and this was one of the few books that I actually read from beginning to end as opposed to skimming through pages. I find this novel interesting and alluring although the beginning was hard to understand at first with Winston walking around. What I like most about 1984 is that it's filled with symbolism and its themes that can be related to life.
What do you think of the novel?
(I would love to comment further but sadly I can't remember much of it at the moment)

But, I'm too busy reading a book about cadavers. 8D
When I actually read it I'll come back here~

GPoints: 9,647 Rep Power: 15 | I can't say that I remember too much of the book (read it as summer reading for my senior year of high school), but I do remember that it was an amazing book. It was great because we also had to read Brave New World (another very good book) and compare and contrast. I loved it.

Did you know that nomhak didn`t understand my "Big Brother is watching you" reference? xD
I had to read that in private english school. Crazy scary concepts...I only vaguely remember the movie that went with it.

I heard the movie was junk compared to the book.

GPoints: 9,647 Rep Power: 15 | Probably, they usually are. But at the very least it would remind of the book. Unfortunately, it's not one I own, and I'd like a refresher.
