Another Harry Potter Thread

Though I'm sure there have been plenty of Harry Potter threads, none of them have been to recent, and I don't want to post on a new one. I personally love Harry Potter. I read one each night before I go to bed, and have done so for the past 5 years. Yes, I do have sanity issues. Anyway. I recently got into an argument with a friend of mine about it. The argument was about whether or not the Harry Potter series was proper for an adult audience. His argument was that it had very low level of imaginative magic and magical world, which I completely agree with, and which is why I despise Harry Potter RPs. However, what he seems to not see is that books are not just about the core surface, but also about the concepts. As I grow older, I see more and more references and allusions in the books, and more and more meaning. The snake, the horned God, to name a few. As one grows older, it isn't literature that changes, it is our perception of it. So, what are your opinions on the series.

All I know is that harry potter is the only book(s) that I have read and enjoyed. I read the whole series and loved it and personally I despise reading!

I remember when I was little I would reread the first Harry Potter book over and over and over again. I think ive read it 17 times or so.

I love the Harry Potter series!! I've read the books millions of times, and yeah I love it! The 4th one may be a bit boring, some of the books may have uninteresting parts but, you know, it's still great!

I went through the huge harry potter phase. Would go to the opening night parties at barnes and nobles for the the release of the new book. But after the 6th book, I started getting annoyed. the first 5 were good, they kept me intreged. but the last two made me lose interest, especially the 7th. I got the impression that she was rushing it and i didnt have the impact on me that the first 5 did.
