Rules
OK. SO the rules are simple. I will post a book. You either have read it or you haven't. I think that if you haven't read it, that you should be able to check it out from your local library. If you don't want to do that, then spark notes should be fine. That's what I do.
Rules are at my discretion. If I feel you are doing something wrong, I will warn you. If you continue doing it, you will more than likely be reported.
I will post a question or a discussion topic or question about the book. The person with the best answer will get 100 GutterPoints or 10k neopoints and +rep from me. Please use common sense and don't plagiarize.

I will be letting people help me pick the winning answer. If you would like to join the judging team, please let me know.

It is my first time to post here in this part of the forum. I just joined but I really want to read and share the things I learned from reading.

Well let’s get back to your question. Scarlett letters significance through out the novel.

The scarlet letter “A” was ordered to be placed in Hester Prynne’s dress as sign of Adultery and for everyone to see the crime she has committed. At the first part of the novel the scarlet letter signifies the unfaithful action of the woman and the punishment in her actions. When her husband came back and visited her in prison the scarlet letter became a mark of vengeance. When the story arrives where Dimmesdale (the minister and man responsible for Hester’s adultery) announced his sin to the crowd after an excellent speech the scarlet letter became a mark of admitting his sin and accepting his punishment by engraving scarlet letter “A” in his chest and showing it to everyone. At the last part of the story the scarlet letter “A” signifies the peaceful ending of guilt, hatred, pain and vengeance in the story by placing the letter “A” in the gravestone that was shared by the minister Dimmesdale and Hester Prynne.

I stick in giving answer to the question than making the answer long by giving summary to the story. Hope I didn’t miss anything and I hope I get the right answer O_O cross fingers hehe.
