| Tailchaser's Song Saw the board about Watership Down and I thought, "Well, what about Tad William's book?" It's a little similar in the way it's written, but I found it much more interesting, and it moved quickly. It, like Watership Down (and Richard Adam's The Plague Dogs) is definitely an adult book, many, many disturbing scenes and crude humour, but otherwise... very entertaining.
It's about a cat who goes off on an epic journey to save his friend, and the strange characters he meets along the way are incredibly intruiging. It's completely fantasy, and Tailchaser himself is just much too loveable.
Anyone else read it? I really, really suggest it--even if you're not a fan of animals or animal literature, it's a brilliant book. |
