Story (#4/10):Well the game is about, Cooking Mama wanting to help you learn how to cook just like her and she teaches you a variety of Japanese/Oriental/Asian appetizers/meals/desserts/ in step by step process.
Controls (8/10):The controls are very easy. You can see the stylus for most of the cooking recipes, you will also get to use the mic on the DS for some recipes. The buttons A,B, and start are also usable too to play the game. But i recommend just using the stylus to play the game. Graphics (9/10):
The 2d animation/cartoonish graphics fit the game very well. Since Cooking Mama is based on a 2d japan style gaming.
Sound/Music (#4/10): The sounds/music in the game is very annoying, its not bad quality sound but it reminds me of elevator music or something boring and dull like that. But if you want the game to sound more "intense" go right ahead. Replayability (4/10):
After you unlocked all the recipes. You can start and try and get a gold coin and all of them. Personally, i wouldn't take my time to do that because its not worth it. I think just starting over would be better if you wanted to play the whole game again.
Game-play (7/10):Cooking Mama is more of a "clicking/touching" interacting game. By finishing recipes you also get to unlock more recipes. If you have all the recipes then you should try cominbing mode. The game also features a training mode and course mode if you need some practice at cooking the recipes. But i find the game to be very short.(when you start to get hang of the game, you're already done.) Overall Score (7.5/10):
I say this game is worth buying if your somewhat around your teenage years. Otherwise the more adult players will think this game is nonsense. If your looking to buy this game i say it is worth $20 if your looking for a fun cooking game while your at break or if your just bored Cooking Mama is the game for you.
