The only reason why I opened up another thread to show it off in was 'cause I wanted to show the original B/W, too.
I love it when I get assignments, see contests, etc. that make me think and put some effort into a drawing- and I really like how this one turned out. I never would have colored it if I didn't want that gloomy bear.

Yeah, I like the black and white too, because you can see all the detail I did on the dress better. Every time my teachers gave us study hall or free time, I would bust this out and do more cobwebs.

But I wanted to color it because I felt it would be lazy to submit it when others had colored theirs. /:

Hmmm, maybe I should enter the B/W into the contest too, then...

I'm partial to the black and white too.

Maybe you could go over it with a thin black brush, or increase the contrast for cleaner lines? That way it looks less like a sketch and more like a masterpiece. :]

I darkened the color one a little bit, so the dress detail was more evident. And I think that I'll ink the original in class tomorrow.

I would've kept her dress and overall image dark and black.
