New Photo to Rate

I took this one this evening for fun. I'm not really sure what is has going for it, but I manipulated it a bit and I like the way it turned out.

I also took this one today but it is really just a plain picture:

Both are horrible quality, make sure you set your ISO to as low as possible.

Aside from that, the first one is cute, although the highlights behind her are blown out, it's at a slight angle (can be fixed on photoshop), and her hands are cut off awkwardly. Instead of including the plant, you could've shifted to the left slightly to get the rest of the window/some wall and her hand.

The sepia effect works well for the second one. However, a lot of the background stuff is unnecessary and distracting, so you can either crop or have taken the picture vertically. The whites are a little blown out on her dress.

It was because I originally uploaded them to Tinypic that they have such terrible quality but I am still going to try that Axed. Also, if I take out the Table and part of the door frame would that be better.

They look better smaller but you can still see the noise, especially on the wall in the first place. You can try to get rid of that on photoshop by blurring it or reducing noise.

&Yes, that'd make it better, as a vertical shot.

I like them they are very nice the top one is kind of bright and makes it hard to actually see what you want the viewer to see. The second one is nice too and I like the background stuff it kind of makes it look more real

Step one, get a photobucket account or a flickr account.

Step 2: Higher resolution = more quality, and more to work with.

Step 3: If you're seriously into photography+editing pictures in photoshop a mag subscription wouldn't hurt.

First would be better if she knew how to do her hair (no offense) and wore a popping dress (Cyan+accents, Envy Green, Indian Red, com'on look at the surroundings and complement)

Second picture is actually good, lower the contrast by a tad, pick up the brightness, sharpen that face, blur out right behind her arm to the right, and you got a homely, decent picture.
