I also took this one today but it is really just a plain picture:

Aside from that, the first one is cute, although the highlights behind her are blown out, it's at a slight angle (can be fixed on photoshop), and her hands are cut off awkwardly. Instead of including the plant, you could've shifted to the left slightly to get the rest of the window/some wall and her hand.
The sepia effect works well for the second one. However, a lot of the background stuff is unnecessary and distracting, so you can either crop or have taken the picture vertically. The whites are a little blown out on her dress.

&Yes, that'd make it better, as a vertical shot.

GPoints: 4,394 Rep Power: 20 | Step one, get a photobucket account or a flickr account.
Step 2: Higher resolution = more quality, and more to work with.
Step 3: If you're seriously into photography+editing pictures in photoshop a mag subscription wouldn't hurt.
First would be better if she knew how to do her hair (no offense) and wore a popping dress (Cyan+accents, Envy Green, Indian Red, com'on look at the surroundings and complement)
GIRL NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO BUY SHOES. Plant to the right pisses me off, and due to the constricted size its creating unbalance. Large plant that climbs the wall k?
Second picture is actually good, lower the contrast by a tad, pick up the brightness, sharpen that face, blur out right behind her arm to the right, and you got a homely, decent picture.

And the shadowing on the right makes no sense.
