Gaming Gutter's First Official SCAVENGER HUNT!

Yes, you read that right folks! We, the good Staff here at Gaming Gutter, have decided to organize a scavenger hunt!

I will explain how it will work in a series of fictional Frequently Asked Questions.

Are we talking online or IRL?
Oh, this is as real as it gets, baby. Everything on the list can and should be procured in the real world. I know some of you might not get out a lot, so this is your chance.

When does it begin?
Good question! Although it's subject to change, right now the 6th-8th of November is lookin' real good. It will start that Friday when I wake up and get on the computer, which is usually around 6:30AM EST, and will end on Sunday at noon EST.

But Axed, how will it work?
Wouldn't you like to know?! I kid, I kid.
The list will be released when the scavenger hunt begins, and then, it's all up to you guys. For every object on the list that you find, you have to take a picture of it, with a sign in the photo that shows you took it. A more detailed explanation will be available in the rules. When I write them. Sometime.

A picture?! What if I don't have a camera?
Then sorry buddy, you're out of luck. There's no other ways to verify you actually found the objects you said you did.

Will a camera phone work? Or a webcam?
Yes, IF the pictures are clear. If we can't tell what we're looking at, it doesn't count.

Can Staff play?
Yes, but only for lulz. I have more love for scavenger hunts than you can shake a stick at (trust me, it would require a lot of stick shaking), but none of the Staff will be eligible to win prizes. Since we've already seen the list and all.

PRIZES?!?!?
Prizes! Though we're not entirely sure yet what they will be, but there will be some!

How will the winner be decided?
Whoever has the most points at the end of the hunt wins. It's pretty simple. Everything on the list has a corresponding point value, although some of them will subjective and will have to be judged (by the Staff).

Can we work in teams?
No and yes. No in terms of working with other GG members-- you're solo in that sense. But yes in terms of working with irl friends, because even if I said no, you guys would anyways.

Why are you so beautiful and amazing?
I don't know, mystery questioner. I just don't know.

RULEZ, REGULATIONS, AND DISCLAIMERS
1. Any and everything on the list that you find MUST be documented via photographing it. Furthermore, in EVERY picture there has to be a sign that at least says Gaming Gutter and the date. Time stamps on the camera are optional. CLICK ME FOR EXAMPLE SIGN

2. The picture has to be clear enough for the judges to be able to make out what exactly it is, otherwise no points will be awarded.

3. Do not post your pictures until the hunt is officially over. At that point, I will either make a new thread for the pictures or have them posted in here.

4. Take everything on the list HOWEVER YOU WANT. Staff will NOT clarify anything on the list for you. This means, take things as literally or as metaphorically as you please. The judges will decide if it's an adequate example of that listed object, and may award extra points for creativity.

4&1/2. NO taking pictures of pictures you found on the internet. That is not clever nor funny.

5. You do not have to be in the picture. You can be, if you so choose, or if an item of the list suggests it.

6. All the times listed are EST, so you'll have to coordinate that with your time. This is because I (Axed) am basically running this entire thing, so you guys have to play by my rules, and do things by my time.

7. In an effort to have a lot of participants, there is no minimum number of items found necessary to be included in the contest. So whether you find 2 or 99 & 1/2, you're in!

8. DISCLAIMER: Gaming Gutter is not responsible for anything that occurs while you are scavenging.

I assume pictures have to be date stamped if possible?

Date stamped is fine, but I wanted everyone to put a sign in the picture that said 'Gaming Gutter' and the date or something like that. I'll make an example sign in Paint and post it eventually.

Everyone had to pay a buy in through paypal or whatever. So that the prizes could actually end up being worthwhile? =o

I'd be interested, but that's a long ass scavenger hunt.
