Xbox 360 Or Ps3 ? - Page 3

Well, I'm not an avid television fan (hence why I don't have it) so iPlayer does it for me. Plus, I definitely couldn't keep up payments to pay for xbox live or whatever.

I also think PS3 has awesome exclusives but maybe that's because my favourite games are the Resistance series. Although the latest Final Fantasy also sways that, and of course Little Big Planet which is the best platformer for ages.

Though, I really think the debate on exclusives is going to be biased over which console/games you play most. I can't stand Halo but people who love it will also be more biased toward their 360. At my uni they hold Halo tournaments, but no ps3 game tournaments! I don't get it! I think it's because students are cheap and usually pick the cheaper console over the ps3.

Thats true. One of the reasons you buy the console is for the type of exclusives it has and some exclusives might appeal to some an not to others.

I also think the different consoles are better for different genres of games, for example I personally think the xbox has better shooter games and downloadable content games (Shadow Complex), but the PS3 has better platformers, RPGs and Sports games

I personally think they're both good.

But I have an xbox 360 so that is where my bias goes.

Although I've had 3 or 4 xboxs now with the red rings of death. Stupid people keep sending refurbished ones so keeps occuring.

PS3....it is more reliable. 50% of xbox's overheat. Also known as, "the three rings of death"

Yeah well I have had my xbox 360 turned on for 2 whole days without overheating I have had my 360 for 1 year now it hasn't gotten the red ring at all.

He's full of bullshit. It was 33% of the first consoles released, all which were fixed for free, all which MS gave extended warranties on. Ive had the 360 since december when they came out, only had the RROD once, they fixed it for free, took 3 days and no problems since. Besides, the ones that over heated were from people not placing the console properly which I think it was 3 feet of open space all around.

Also the newer xbox's are much less susceptible to the red ring than the original ones. So the 33% isn't even a correct statistic anymore

Well, I have them both. But I have to say I play more with my 360. Even tough the Ps3 does have a better grphic capability, it doesn't mean too much in most games, and because it's so dificult to make games for the ps3, there are a lot of games that actually look better on a 360.
Also, I get a vast variety of games (to download and play from a cd) and have the best franchises (at least to my taste which is FPS-RPG gamer). So even tough the Ps3 has home (which I have to say, it's pretty awesome), that doesn't make me want to spend more time in front of it.
You guys can say "but it has a blueray" or "I get a multimedia center", well, when I bought both consoles, I bought them for gaming and if I want to play a blueray, I go to my living room and play the blue ray on a blue ray reproductor. So please stop saying a console which is made for gaming is better because it has certain extras, lets please focus on the gaming.
