Well, my child of the sun, GPoints are sort of a currency on the board. They're not actually worth anything, and right now there isn't really anything you can do with them, so they're just sort of like a digital ego boost. You can give them away, collect them or trade them for services perhaps?
As for getting them, that's relatively easy. With every post, everytime you get positive reputation and everytime somebody presses the thank you button on one of your posts (the thank you button is in the bottom right corner of every post, you can try it out by thanking me for this post).
But that is not all! You lose Gpoints for every private message you send, every time you get negative reputation points and every infraction you get.
