I work at this store.
There are all these non-name brand things,
and all these name brand things.
Coca-Cola being one of those name brand things,
bottles several thing.
You have all the Coca-Cola soda products on several shelves,
and they're all $1.45 after tax.
...and then there is the Desani water,
bottled by Coca-Cola too.
It's $1.51 after tax
We sell more water than we do soda,
obviously.
WTF pays for bottled water when it costs more than your normal soda drink?
It's just fking WATER
(Mind you on the very very bottom shelf there's this other non-name brand bottled water that's only like... .89 cents after tax.)
So for those of you on GG that are loyal to your bottles of water,
WTF are you paying so much for a mere bottle of water?

Why pay for something that you can get for free at home? If you're so concerned about it, buy a water filter, then just bottle your own. You'll save money in the long run..

You'll save money in the long run.. | A lot of people work in construction and its cheaper/more convenient to buy 24 bottles for $4 and throw them out instead of carrying around all the bottles, bringing them home, cleaning them, refilling them and bringing them back every day. Yeah if you just need 1 bottle to bring to school or whatever, filling it at home is fine, but depending on your situation that wouldn't work.

GPoints: 107 Rep Power: 3 | I do buy bottle water, but I really do try to drink filtered instead. I live in a highly polluted city so there are all sorts of awful things in the water...plus it literally tastes like chlorine smells. I actually can't drink it without gagging. So I:
A: Filter the water, which removes some of the harmful shit and some of the taste. Still tasted terrible by itself so I flavor it with tea or Crystal light or whatever.
B: By a large jug of water that is a couple of gallons so it's less detrimental to the environment.
Personally I don't use plastic bottles, I carry my water around in a steel canteen thing.
PS: Pretty sure that almost anything Coca-Cola bottles is just filtered tap water.

I don't really go that many places, and when I do, I just usually get soda... or maybe 2 bottles of it.

GPoints: 20 Rep Power: 1 | I get different bottled water.
Deerpark or something like that.
Either way, the bottles I get are reusable, so once I drink the water, I fill 'em right back up.

GPoints: 4,805 Rep Power: 7 | I like Dasani (when it's cold-- water fucking sucks when it's warm), but I have my mom buy them in the 30 pack or whatever. Sometimes when I finish a bottle, I fill it back up with water from home.
It's just convenient to take a bottled water out of the fridge as opposed to refilling cup after cup.
